ForceDoze privacy policy

Thanks for using ForceDoze. Here we describe how ForceDoze collect, use and handle your information when you use the app

What & Why

ForceDoze acquires the following permissions in order to provide the Doze related functionality:

READ_PHONE_STATE: ForceDoze needs the READ_PHONE_STATE permission to turn off mobile data during Doze and turn it on when your device exits Doze

WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS: ForceDoze needs the WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS permission to make the device enter Doze on non-rooted Nougat devices and also to change Doze values on Nougat and Marshmallow devices using the Doze Tunables feature

READ_LOGS: ForceDoze needs the READ_LOGS permission to read logcat data (for debugging purposes). It is used so the user can send the logcat data back to the developer

WAKE_LOCK: ForceDoze needs the WAKE_LOCK permission to keep the device awake temporarily for the length of user defined Doze delay or lockscreen timeout

WRITE_SETTINGS: ForceDoze needs the WRITE_SETTINGS permission to apply the Auto-rotate/brightness fix because it works by turning off and on Auto-rotate and Auto-brightness on your device

RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: ForceDoze needs the RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED permission to automatically start the ForceDoze service on startup if ForceDoze is turned on

DUMP: ForceDoze needs the DUMP permission to add/remove apps from whitelist (using package name), to make the device enter/exit Doze on Marshmallow devices and rooted Nougat devices, and to disable/enable motion sensors

ACCESS_WIFI_STATE & CHANGE_WIFI_STATE: ForceDoze needs the ACCESS_WIFI_STATE & CHANGE_WIFI_STATE permission to turn off WiFi during Doze and turn it on when your device exits Doze

With whom

ForceDoze does not share any of your data to third parties or back to the developer

How

ForceDoze acquires the permissions automatically using root (or through the use of ADB commands, that the user has to manually execute from his/her computer or laptop.

Changes

Any changes made to this Privacy Policy in the future will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, notified to you by e-mail.
